What ShipDay and opc.observer collect when you launch a site, and what we do not.

Last updated September 21, 2026

Who this covers

This policy covers the ShipDay Chrome extension and the website opc.observer. Both exist to help a maker finish a personal site’s first launch: one public about page (a backlink) and one Google index check after submit.

What we collect

Only when you open the extension popup or submit a listing:

Submit sends that listing to our own API on opc.observer so we can create or look up the public about page. Filling the form does not run a Google lookup. Creating the listing does one index check on our server.

What we do not collect

A normal HTTPS request to opc.observer includes an IP address handled by our host so the page or API can respond. We do not use it to locate you or build a profile.

How we use it

App functionality only: prefill the form, create or open the listing, measure launch-health signals we already show on the site, and watch Google site: results for 7 days after submit. We do not sell or transfer this data to third parties for advertising, credit, or unrelated purposes.

Where it is stored

The extension may keep a launch draft and the opc.observer origin in chrome.storage.local on your device. Listing records live on opc.observer. The public about page is visible to anyone.
